All facilities include:

  • 24×7 CCTV surveillance & controlled access (no public access)
  • Fire detection & suppression systems
  • Backup power systems in-case of power failure
  • Monitoring of all servers & systems – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year

NEXTDC M1 – Melbourne, Australia

NEXTDC is Australia’s only indepedent leading DCaaS provider with data centres all across the country. M1 is NEXTDC’s flagship data centre facility, located in Port Melbourne with a technical space of 6,000 sq meters, it is Tier III certified ensuring 100% availability on services. M1 also is the first facility in the Asia-Pacific region to employ solar power as a renewable energy source, just one more step closer to reducing emissions and bettering the environment.

Facility Features

  • Two storey 17,500m2 building with total technical space approximately 6,000m2
  • Multiple power distribution units (PDUs) with minimum N+N redundancy and ultimate 12+1 Pillar 1670kVA Diesel Rotary UPS [DRUPS] units
  • N+1 high efficiency water-cooled chillers, cooling towers and pumps with average cold aisle temperature of 22 +/-2 degrees
  • 24/7 onsite security personnel with individual credential checks prior to authorisation and biometric fingerprint security for data centre access
  • Inert gas fire suppression and leak detection systems with distributed fire alarm controls equipment to avoid single point of failure

Global Switch

Global Switch – Sydney, Australia

Global Switch is the largest data centre in the Southern Hemisphere. Located in Sydney, Australia, with a total of 260,000 sq ft space it has an internationally renowned customer base from government organisations, financial institutions to premium companies and providers in Australia.

  • Diverse A+B+R supply, distributed via 11kV rings with on-site diesel tanks (6 x 60,000 litres) support at full capacity with 24×7 diesel delivery
  • 6+1 4.5MW water cooled chillers; Minimum N+1 resilience on chilled water cooling system
  • Security Operations Centre with 24×7 on-site security guards & constant CCTV surveillance
  • Multi-aspirated fire detection and warning system with analogue addressable fire detection system in all areas
  • Inergen gas suppression system in an N+N arrangement with dry pipe sprinkler system to all data suites

Lytton DC

Lytton DC – Brisbane, Australia

Lytton DC is a public co-location facility commissioned in 2010 and upgraded and updated to what was already a well known and respected facility. Lytton DC is a clean and well maintained building, housing excellent power and data feeds as well as UPS, generator backups and FM200 fire suppression.


Facility Features

  • 5 Individual power segments, for A+B, B+C, C+D, D+E or E+A Power segregation.
  • N+1 CRAC Computer-Room Air-Conditioners, each with Internal N+1 Compressors and Fans, individually plumbed for complete segregation and standalone operation.
  • Video Camera Surveillance with off site monitoring.
  • VESDA Very Early Smoke Detection and Alerting capability with N+1 Redundant FM200 Gas Fire Supression System.
  • Multiple diverse fibre-optic paths are available with Diverse Telstra Feeds to two exchanges, PIPE Fibre, TPG, Optus and Uecomm directly fibred into the Data Centre floor.
